Installation and compliance
Where installation is included, the system will incorporate the required earthing and bonding, cable specifications, cable support and clamping, AC and DC switching and protection devices, surge protection, isolation, equipment identification, circuit labelling, warning notices and danger indicators.
The installation requirements will be determined according to the higher applicable requirement of the manufacturer’s instructions or relevant SANS standards.
Final compliance remains subject to site inspection, detailed engineering, approved system design, testing, commissioning and the issuing of the required electrical Certificate of Compliance by the appointed registered electrical contractor.
Structural assessments, engineering services, municipal applications, SSEG registration, grid studies, civil works, solar panels, mounting structures, transformers, generators and electrical distribution upgrades are excluded unless specifically included in the quotation.
