Hanchu HESS-HY-S-6K-S 6kW Single-Phase Hybrid Inverter

The Hanchu HESS-HY-S-6K-S is a powerful 6kW single-phase hybrid inverter designed for residential and small commercial solar installations. It intelligently manages power from solar panels, compatible low-voltage batteries and the electricity grid, helping reduce electricity costs while providing dependable backup power during outages.

The inverter produces high-quality pure sine-wave AC power and offers a rated output of 6,000W, with peak output of up to 12,000VA for starting demanding appliances and motors. Its typical transfer time of approximately 10 milliseconds helps keep connected essential loads operating when the grid fails.

Two independent MPPT solar inputs, supporting 16A per input, allow panels to be divided between different roof orientations. Advanced MPPT technology provides tracking efficiency of up to 99.9%, helping the system extract the maximum available energy from the solar array.

The inverter works with 48V low-voltage lithium-ion and lead-acid battery systems and supports communication with compatible battery-management systems. Charging schedules and time-of-use operating modes can be configured to charge batteries during cheaper electricity periods and use stored energy when grid electricity is more expensive.

Hanchu Cloud integration provides system monitoring, historical performance information, remote configuration and OTA software updates. The IP65-rated enclosure protects the inverter against dust and water, allowing installation in suitable indoor or sheltered outdoor environments.

Built-in safety features include DC isolation, ground-fault protection, output overcurrent protection and short-circuit protection. The inverter is suitable for grid-connected solar, battery-backup and self-consumption applications.

Installation must be completed by a qualified solar electrician. Municipal approval, SSEG registration and a compliant smart meter may be required for grid-connected operation or exporting electricity.
