How much does a solar system cost in South Africa?

Pricing depends on your energy usage, backup requirements, battery capacity and solar panel size. We supply everything from small backup solutions to large residential and commercial installations. Use the free solar assessment for an indicative figure, then ask us for a written quote in rand.

How do I know what size solar system I need?

Use our free solar assessment or contact us. We recommend a system based on your electricity consumption and backup requirements, not just your monthly bill.

Will my solar system work during power outages and load shedding?

Yes, if it has battery storage. Systems with battery storage continue powering selected loads during outages. Panels alone, without a battery and hybrid inverter, will not keep the lights on when the grid is down.

How long do lithium batteries last?

Most quality lithium batteries last between 10 and 15 years when properly installed and maintained.

How many solar panels do I need?

It depends on your energy usage and available roof space. Most residential systems use between 6 and 20 panels. A 550 W panel gives roughly 2.2 kWh on a good day.

Do solar panels work on cloudy days?

Yes. Solar panels continue generating power on cloudy days, although production will be lower than in full sunshine.

Can I add more solar panels later?

Often, yes. Whether more panels can be added depends on your inverter and existing panels. Send us your system details and we will confirm what is possible. We can supply the equipment only, or arrange installation through qualified installation partners.

Do you offer solar panel cleaning?

Yes. We clean residential systems within 100 km of Secunda, and commercial and farm systems nationwide except the Western, Eastern and Northern Cape.

Do you deliver nationwide and install?

We supply solar equipment nationwide. Installation is offered in selected areas through our installation partners. Message us your town and we will confirm.

What is a compliance pack and COC?

The compliance pack is the documentation for your system, and the Certificate of Compliance (COC) is the electrical certificate for the installation. We provide compliance packs and COCs so you have the paperwork your insurer or installer may ask for.

Which payment options do you accept?

We accept EFT, Payflex and iKhokha. Ask us for a proforma invoice and we will confirm the options for your order.
